Our goal:
Digital
empowerment.
At Liberia Creative Media Training Center (LCMTC), we create and lead Media + IT + Entrepreneurship classes for youth in Monrovia, Liberia.
Our Theory of Change
Our Theory of Change diagram reflects our most important values and mission at LCMTC, aka 'LCMTC 101.' These values serve as a compass to guide our team through any small or big decisions in promoting growth at LCMTC.

We directly partner with schools to offer media classes in their classrooms, not our offices. This is based on our belief that students should demand media classes, and it would be easier and more sustainable for schools to benchmark programs successfully launched on their campus more than anywhere else.

We don’t pursue just the mere transfer of knowledge. We hope to empower others by learning and practicing how to create social impact through skills in media.

We believe even our smallest steps forward in the villages of Monrovia, Liberia, should be shared with the globe. International collaboration is key to sharing insight on programming approaches, what worked and what didn’t, etc. Lack of media education is a worldwide problem; thus, it requires worldwide collaboration.

We will always proactively tackle gender norms and other stereotypes that discourage specific populations from learning about media/IT. Our dream is to build a program that offers media education for EVERYONE.
